Inspection
If your monitor shows a problem, the fan is noisy, or recent tests are elevated, schedule an inspection. Upon arrival, our friendly technicians will:
Diagnose the cause of a warning or elevated test result.
Measure and document current operating conditions; check alarm/indicator function and labeling.
Evaluate discharge location and clearances, exterior routing, penetrations, and sealing against current standards.
Identify safety issues and moisture management concerns.
Recommend corrective actions and, if needed, a follow-up radon test to verify effectiveness after fixes.
Our inspection criteria reference EPA guidance and the latest ANSI/AARST radon mitigation standards for existing homes.
-
Service
Keep your mitigation system doing what it was built to do—quietly, reliably, every day. During a service visit, our technician:
Verifies fan operation and airflow indications.
Checks visible piping, couplings, and seals for cracks, UV wear, or loosened joints; confirms exterior discharge and roof/exterior penetrations are intact.
Confirms system labels/owner information are present and legible; replaces worn labels as needed.
Inspects electrical connections to ensure safe operation.
Retests or provides a test kit to verify the system is still achieving target radon levels after service.
Provides a detailed written report with findings, any minor adjustments made, and recommended follow-ups (if any).
Best practice is to check your warning device regularly and have a professional service and re-test in regular intervals (EPA recommends retesting every two years; many homes benefit from annual checks).

Upgrade
Monitoring & Labels: We add or replace the pressure gauge (U-tube/manometer), update the warning device, and make sure all pipes and electrical lines are labeled.
Discharge & Routing: If the vent pipe outside isn’t high enough or routed correctly, we adjust it so it clears the house safely and vents radon away the way it should under current rules.
Sealing & Covers: We reseal cracks, slab penetrations, and sump covers. Gaskets, screws, and viewports get added where needed so everything is airtight.
Electrical & Safety: We fix any issues with the fan’s switch or disconnect, and secure cords or conduits so they’re safe and compliant.
Components: If the fan is undersized, or worn out we swap it out. We can also add vibration couplers, check valves, or condensate drains if they’re missing.
Documentation & Testing: You’ll get an updated system diagram and notes. Then we run a post-upgrade radon test to prove the system is doing its job.
Bringing a system up to code isn’t just about keeping the fan running—it’s about meeting today’s ANSI/AARST standards, following state rules, and giving you long-term peace of mind with a state of the art system.
